‘The Names of Love’ directed and written by Michel Leclerc is a family story. The story is about a free-spirited, extroverted left-wing activist and seductive young Frenchwoman (played by Sara Forestier). She sleeps with her political opponents to make things happen her way. She is the daughter of an Algerian immigrant father Mohamed (played by Zinedine Soualem) and her liberal-minded French hippie mom, Cecile (played by Carole Franck). She meets a middle-aged Jewish scientist (played by Jacques Gamblin) whom she feels is her match. They become a pair of mismatched lovers providing the perfect chemistry for which it is essential to know their culture, family history and backgrounds. The film is produced by Music Box Films. The co-writers are Leclerc and Baya Kasmi.
